About

Hi! I’m Christy.

I was diagnosed with mast cell activation syndrome in 2018.

I was really devastated at the time, but by following a specific treatment plan, I’ve been able to get the majority of my symptoms into remission, and live a normal life!

I noticed that a lot of people out there have questions about mast cell issues, so I decided to blog about my experience.

What were my symptoms, and how am I doing now?

If you’ve just arrived to my site, I know these are probably the first questions on your mind.

In general, I’ve chosen not to write too much about my specific symptoms. That’s because part of my recovery plan included a fascinating mind-body program called the Dynamic Neural Retraining System, which emphasizes trying to rewire the pathways in your brain into a state of rest and digest.

It sounds crazy, but in my experience, as well as that of many others, it really can help to calm down your immune system!

That’s why I’ve chosen to keep a very positive tone on this site. While I do believe there’s certain information everyone with MCAS needs to know, I also believe the way it’s presented is really important.

I created this site to be compatible with DNRS and other mind-body programs, so that you don’t feel like you have to make a choice between reading this site or healing your nervous system. When there is certain information that’s more serious, I’ll give you a heads’ up first.

I know what it’s like when you’re really struggling, and need to know someone else got better.

My goal is to give you the answers I wish I’d had at the time, so that you can get started on your healing journey as well.
